RI Private Equity – RI Sustainable Assets Fund
The RI Sustainable Assets Fund is a $150-200 million closed ended investment Fund to provide capital to businesses which are actively involved in environmental sustainability.
The Fund invests at a global level in those businesses that provide access to technologies, systems, processes and know-how that can be leveraged for commercial application either through geographic expansion of that business or through a commercial tie-up with an existing asset in the Fund.
The Fund applies the following disciplined and clearly defined investment criteria:
- Sustainability Theme - Positively screen for carbon minimisation investments using a rigorous top-down approach to identify the industry leaders;
- UN Guidelines - Follow the Principles for Responsible Investment developed by the United Nations to guide investment decisions;
- Established or Fully-Approved Businesses and Projects - Investments must be established businesses or fully-approved projects and show potential of high profitability;
- Proven Technologies - The Manager, will only invest in businesses with proven technological advancements and a high degree of commercial applications;
- Meaningful Stake - All investments will have an ownership position to ensure that active management is possible.
